Body Lift Procedure: What’s Involved?
A Body Lift surgery can be performed either in a hospital or from an accredited out-patient surgical. For this procedure to be performed, the determinations include the body mass index of an individual and the approximate length of the procedure. Normally, the procedure lasts between four hours to up to but not limited to seven hours and is carried out when the patient is under the influence of anesthesia.
The procedure is of two kinds. The lower body lifts which begins from the waist going down. This involves the surgeon making an incision along the public area so as to level the belly button with the public area by removing excess tissues. This is followed by separation of the skin between the belly button and the central rib cage to remove any fat that might be there. Any remaining skin and fat is moved from the area above the belly button to the pubic area. This brings one back to shape.
The Upper Body Lift is the other kind of procedure. It is conducted from the waist going upwards and involves removal of any excess fat from the breast all the way down to the waist. The surgeon will first carry out a broad excision on the bra-line remove the back fat rolls narrowing the waist. This will be followed by removal of any excess skin under the breast or hanging from the lower rig cage thus tightening the breast and elevating the abdominal skin.
